- This 30-minute webinar focuses on helping educators and administrators reflect
on NAEYC Assessment Items and their current program practices across both the RECOGNITION and ACCREDITATION Tiers. It
emphasizes the importance of writing clear, focused, and meaningful
documentation, and demonstrates how to transform those reflections into strong NARRATIVES and SHOW & DESCRIBE evidence that clearly and confidently
communicates program practices.

Staying Accredited: What Every Program Must Know About Required Assessment Items
This 30-minute webinar helps currently accredited programs understand the critical role of the Required Assessment Items in the new Tiered Accreditation System. Programs accredited under the Legacy System (now Accreditation+) remain eligible for random unannounced visits during their five-year term, and assessors will use the NEW Accreditation Observation Tool during those visits.
We'll highlight the two Assessment items newly elevated to REQUIRED status and review what meeting these items looks like in day-to-day practice. Participants will learn why full compliance is essential - If any Required Item is not met during a random visit, the program will lose its NAEYC Accreditation status.
This session offers confidence to ensure programs remain aligned, prepared, and accreditation-strong.
